Hi I’m Jordana, a social media comedian, trainer and commentator – and I embarked on a global quest. From Australia to Silicon Valley, I traveled more than half way across the world with ONE GOAL in mind; to try to find Mark Zuckerberg to tell him five minutes of Facebook jokes.
I traveled from Melbourne, Australia, to Dallas, to New York City, and then to San Francisco to reach Facebook’s headquarters in Silicon Valley. I dressed up in a giant LIKE costume and had a wild adventure.
Here’s what I had in mind for my Zucker Up! quest before I left Australia:
I carried out a whole lotta crazy content ideas and tactics in order to create some Zucker Up! buzz. When I was in NYC, I headed to Times Square dressed as a giant LIKE to chat with tourists. It was SO MUCH FUN. Video below!
I also worked up a HEAP of courage to hit Grand Central Station in New York City offering free Hershey’s Kisses in exchange for Facebook LIKES. Ummm, it didn’t go too well… You can see for yourself below.
I didn’t get to meet Mark, as he was away on holidays when I visited Facebook’s HQ on December 19 and 20, but I did meet some other extraordinary people during my Zucker Up! quest who showed amazing support for my campaign which totally blew my mind!
These incredible people were Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak, Mark’s sister Randi Zuckerberg and Susan Bennett – the voice of Siri. You can see all of their support videos below.
STEVE WOZNIAK – APPLE’S CO-FOUNDER
RANDI ZUCKERBERG – AUTHOR OF DOT COMPLICATED, CEO OF ZUCKERBERG MEDIA
SUSAN BENNETT – THE VOICE OF SIRI
I couldn’t have made this trip without the huge support from all of my friends and followers on Facebook. THANK YOU!
I’m super grateful for your support!
